Carl Albert Proctor
1948 - 2023
Carl will be remembered for his sense of humour, patience, kindness, and passion for music.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services but a private celebration of Carl’s life will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the SPA des cantons (spadescantons.com) would be gratefully appreciated as Carl never met a dog or a cat he didn’t immediately like. Arrangements entrusted to : Complexe funéraire BROME-MISSISQUOI 215 rue de la Rivière, Bedford, Qc 450 248-2911
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Carl Albert Proctor on June 14, 2023. Devoted husband of Candace, beloved father of Caroline (Shawn) and Jonathan (Joannie), wonderful Poppa to Logan, Hayden, and Owen, loving brother to Joyce (Stanley), uncle to Ben, brother-in- law to Kirk Philipps, and friend to so many in Mystic, Bedford and surrounding areas.

Condolences to Joyce, Benjamin and his children. Carl was a friend from Mystic days. Made himself a valued expert in antiques and his cranky Jaguar. Meeting and conversing with Carl through life was so pleasant it was hard to believe years would go by without meeting again. Wish him well riding the big lawnmower in the sky.

I last saw Carl when I visited Bedford in June 2015. The last time I saw him was summer 1972 when I left Bedford as a rowdy kid heading for parts unknown. The only thing that changed with him when I saw him was his age. Always a gentleman and he cared more about others than him himself .

I am saddened at Carl's passing and want to wish my condolences to Candance, children, Joyce and all the family. I remember Carl as a smiling person with only good wishes to all. I saw Carl about 6 years ago in Mystic at the cemetery for my Aunt's funeral, and as always he only had good feelings and good memories for everyone. May his smile and good humor be in our hearts forever!

Dear Candace, Caroline and Jonathan and Families & Joyce and Family Losing a family member is very hard on everyone, and the news of a passing is also hard to share. Over the years, Many, many moons ago I had met this very calm and happy person through some special friends, and had enjoyed many a conversation with him. All of us in this age group are dealing in some way with issues of health and or other ailments. It hurts to lose friends, and we see that we are not here on this earth permanently, just for a short time, hopefully a good time. Let us remember Carl, and let the moments we had in his company forever stay in our minds forever, however long that will be. Have the strength to carry one and know that he will guide you and look over you, what every you do or wherever you are. Cry for me Only a Single Little Tear When I'm gone! Cry for me a Single tear then gather with family and friends that are near Together cry another tear when done, then celebrate and laugh and cheer Laugh about the memories shared all the moments and events that blared Blared the music that we enjoyed and all the things with which we had toyed Leave that tear as you reflect all the things that you had done all the stories and tales you had spun While out with children in the Southern Sun where there was laughter; and of tears were none Go forth in life and enjoy the days and years ahead when you look back, remember only the good things said If we had words that were of spite I hope they were not vengeful, but very light When all the friends get together now and then have a glass of cheer for me again Recall the adventures we had shared And, even the things that made us scared Promise me you'll shed only a single tear then go forth with pride and show not fear I' will guide you from above when you have doubts so you will know the Ins and Outs Ins and Outs of the things you tackle that day as in your life you make your play. If you feel hurt, shed only a single tear for I am very close and near Peter Köhl 2015-02-25 / 09:02 am ©Copyright 2018 Peter Köhl What is Next ? ( Adapted for Dad ) " I am waiting for what comes next " is what you told me almost every day. There will be no more waiting Dad . . . As you now have arrived . What is next ? " Us Missing You " What is next? as we strive to live with memories what is next? as we no longer have our guide What is next? as we flail about an ocean like a ship that's lost at sea, "What is next?" Next come the hours and days and weeks when we search for answers from you. Yet when we wait for response to come we only have memories of you. Next come those many dreams and recollections of when we were young and you were there To guide and teach us things we should have learned to face the days to come Next come the many problems we face and you're not there to give us counsel We come to realize we're on our own yet you are there, looking over us all the same If we falter in decisions true, and look up to the sky We'll feel your presence near to us and we'll no longer ask the " Why " Your presence will then guide our choice we make and we will feel that you are there to take Take the uncertainty away from us as we ask " What is Next "? Next comes our own life as we forge, forge ahead in months and years Perhaps our memories may also fade and recollections may only be glimpses Glimpses of the days of youth when You were there And answered our many queries of that little phrase " What is Next ? " What comes next? The answer to that will become so clear as we approach That day when we are old and feeble or pain or sickness renders body and mind To realize that our remaining days are not so kind or we are almost going blind. The answer to that is almost at our lips as we take those steps and pray that the Lord Accepts us in his Realm to be reunited with You That is ' What is Next! Blair and Carol are so sad to hear of Carl's passing. He was a wonderful friend to us and looked after our Mystic home when we were away. We fondly remember our Pizza get-togethers on the Mystic porch. I loved playing piano with Carl at the organ in the Mystic United Church. I will miss Carl very much and remember him as a dear friend of our family. sincerely, Carol Phillips.

We were saddened to learn about Carl. We have great memories of good times spent when we all belonged to the “ Young Adults” at the United Church in Bedford. When I see this photo of Carl I remember how he was always the “ natty” dresser. I guess that didn’t change. We send our sympathy to Candace and family and to Joyce and family. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
