It is with great sadness that I write this note about my cousin Manon. I was doing a simple web search on my cousins (Sylvie, Manon and France), having not seen them for so long but having them always in my heart...I looked them up only to fall on this very sad news. The Beluse family is a great big family but my world was always very very small, knowing and being close to very few: my grandparents, my uncle Guy, my aunt Ginette and my cousins (Sylvie, Manon, and France)... That was my world...And that was pretty much it. All of my best childhood memories are wrapped up in these sisters. They were like my own sisters and I love them all very much. Summers nights in Ile Perrault were magical. We took baths together, jumped on the bed, ate whatever we wanted...they would lovingly call me Famelette LaViolette because I was so scrawny. If anyone picked on me, they had to deal with these sisters and they were a force to be reckoned with. They were/are the best! They were no rules at their house and it was always full of love. They made my feel free. I'm so grateful to them. Manon was the sweetest child. She couldn't hurt a fly. Innocent and kind beyond words and always so loving and tender. I can honestly say, I've never known a more tender heart than hers. I think about my 3 cousins all the time. And though life brought us in different directions and we lost touch, they are all always in my heart and I truly love them very much. They were the best part of my childhood, you can't replace that kind of love or those memories. I feel so incredibly sad that I failed to touch base with Manon in our adult life. Life sometimes just goes so fast... Too fast. I feel so grateful to have known her and say grateful that she was my cousin. Rest in peace my sweet sweet cousin. Adrienne
