At Dorothy’s request there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on July 23rd, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Cherry River Cemetery in Orford, Qc.

Dorothy Button Mitson, in her 86th year, passed away at BMP hospital in Cowansville, on June 23rd, 2016 after a long illness.

In 1960 she married Graydon Mitson and they built their home in Cowansville where they lived for over 50 years.

Dorothy is survived by her son Glendon Button (Deborah), her daughter Crystal Ladd (Gradyn); her grandchildren Glen (Jennifer) and Jessica Button, Nicholas and Nathan Ladd; her great-grandchildren Brandon, Cassidy, Caden and Ciara Button; her half-sister Patricia Young (James); her step-sister Verna Gatley Lyons and her sister-in-law Idabelle McKenna (Peter); several nephews, nieces and cousins, as well as several other relatives and close friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Graydon, son George, sister Jennie Hayes, brother Clair Button, brother-in-law Don Hayes, step-siblings Morris Gatley and Ardis Gatley Fuller, sister-in-law Leona Buzzell, as well as her parents, Perley and Edith Payne Button, and her step-mother Mabel Aiken Button.

The family would like to extend their extreme appreciation to the staff of the Knowlton House for the excellent care provided to Dorothy for the past year.

It is with a heavy heart that i have learnt of Dorothy's passing, my condoleance to the famaly. Iwill miss our calls and updates, she was there for me during my health issues.
